About the event
Avoiding discomfort is often at the heart of not living the lives that we want. It can result in procrastination, people-pleasing, and feeling stuck, hopeless, or unsatisfied in life. Avoidance can actually make life more uncomfortable!
When we avoid tough thoughts and emotions, they tend to grow. (What we resist persists).
When we avoid things that make us fearful or anxious, this actually feeds anxiety.
Avoiding discomfort may create short-term relief, but often creates more discomfort in the long-term.
How are you avoiding discomfort? Perhaps you are:
Saying ‘yes’ when you want to say ‘no’, or ‘no’ when you want to say ‘yes’.
