About the event

Avoiding discomfort is often at the heart of not living the lives that we want. It can result in procrastination, people-pleasing, and feeling stuck, hopeless, or unsatisfied in life. Avoidance can actually make life more uncomfortable!

  • When we avoid tough thoughts and emotions, they tend to grow. (What we resist persists).

  • When we avoid things that make us fearful or anxious, this actually feeds anxiety.

  • Avoiding discomfort may create short-term relief, but often creates more discomfort in the long-term.

How are you avoiding discomfort? Perhaps you are:

  • Saying ‘yes’ when you want to say ‘no’, or ‘no’ when you want to say ‘yes’.
